Help with a chattering relay!

How many Farad cap should go across the relay?

and polarity does matter right or is that only with AC?

Like I said earlier, that depends on the intertia and 'bounce' of the contacts. You can get that data off the datasheet, or find it experimentally. I'd try about 10nf across the coil, and 10X across R2. Then increase those values till the chattering stops. They might not even be needed.
