hello people...

i came across an article in which i read abouth these interesting voltage to frequency converters... i have few doubts regarding its functioning...

the ic produces an output frequency that is a function of the voltage applied as its input... the output is a pulse train... so can we actually view this as a method of analog to digital conversion?

will the output remain a pulse train irrespective of the input signal shape? what kind of input can be applied to the IC?

If i apply an analog square waveform at the input what might be the output??
