Help needed to make a simple time delay circuit without any IC

im looking for a very simple time delay circuit... say it would light up an led after a second when the circuit is closed.

will 2 STC945 transistors be okay for this? and is it necessary that we have to use 2 same transistors?

Here is a circuit with one transistor. Change the capacitor to a 2200uF if you want about 2 sec.
