I have built a Line follower. It uses 12V dc supply only. I want to make the switching on with an IR remote. I have found working circuit. But I want to know how to make it work with a relay to switch on 12V DC supply for my LF?? Plz help. Here's the diagram:

Just add a small 5V relay and a clamp diode where it says "TO RELAY"

Note: IR detectors tend to pick up all sorts of noise, you'll need to design some sort of filter to get rid of the junk.

How's your robot arm coming?
