Hey and thanks for any info,

I'm trying to help out a friend who is starting an "Electronics Theory" class.

I took a similar class years ago. I remember only one thing... A box.

My instructor drew this box on the chalk board. It was 3 X 3 (left to right, top to bottom.)

This box; this is the root of my query and I don't know how to describe it.

The box looked like a tic-tac-toe game, i.e, 3 columns x 3 rows. It looked something like this:

|V|W|A|
|V|W|A|
|V|W|A|

Like V X A = W, or W / V = A etc... I think it had ohms in it as well...

Diagonally, backwards, up, down, left or right this little box described the outcome/ conversion.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thank you again for any help. This is one of those things that is just bothering me.
