So i took out the navi in my lexus gs430 to paint the faceplate. I was scared to touch the ribbon cable so i just slid some paper inbetween the navi screen and faceplate. I painted it, and now my " touch" feature on the screen does not work, i opended it up and tried to clean it with brake fluid and a q-tip but that didnt seem to help anything :/

Someone please help me my navi is 2000$ At the dealership and 300+ $ used on ebay.. It also controls my AC and heater! So im going to freeze up this winter if i cant get it fixed :/ anyone know what might have happended?

If you have small amounts of paint between the touch pane and faceplate, then the touch is miss-reported and will not work.... The touch panel will not be sitting flat / correctly.

I seriously hope you didn't use brake fluid!!!! Brake cleaner yes!!! Brake fluid no!!
