Are these heatsinks case thing-a-ma-jigs completely custom? Is there any place to buy similar "generic" ones?

You can buy various aluminum heatsink extruded stock in 6ft lengths. I don't remember the vendor, but I know that they had various finned patterns. My company cut-to-length, and machined various mounting hole patterns. We even sent them out and had them anodized in various colors...Not the one I was thinking of, but its a place to start

Is there a name for hollow extrusions? I'm also not enturely sure how the stacked PCBs inside all make contact with the extrusion either.
