Glue for Connectors

I've gotten a bunch of electronics over the years that have a dot of glue across both sides of a mating connector. I believe this is to secure them against vibrations, etc but to still allow them to be serviced. I've used nail polish in the past for personal projects but for something more professional, there has to be a recommeneded adhesive. I'm talking about this for a 1.25mm 8pin connector.

Is there a particular glue that manufactures typically use for this? What should I specify to my contract manufacturers?

Thank You for your help,
Mark
