Getting 'program' off pic and saving in mplab ide

Hi,

Is it possible to grab the program off an 'unprotected' pic and save it through the mplab interface? If so could you tell how. I can read the device just not sure how to save it.

Yes, just read the chip. It'll be in .hex format not source code.

Can you use the PICkit2 software? It's one button.

It should be in the programmer menu in MPLAB

Hi,

Dont have that installed at moment. Sorted it anyway - view program memory then output to file. Have been in real hurry
