When it was working properly, I used to hear a quickly diminishing energy surge hum upon powering up, now I don't hear that. Any advice on what's wrong will be appreciated.

Click to expand... could be any of a number of things Have you taken the lid off for an initial visual inspection yet ? Have you searched online for a service manual or at minimum a schematic ? it's likely to be needed to do any decent sort of diagnosis

Have you searched online for a service manual or at minimum a schematic ? it's likely to be needed to do any decent sort of diagnosis
