May i know for fourier transform? when do u use the timeshifting, frequency shifting and convolution?

These a "operations" on your function. You use them in order to get your expression in a form that is easier to transform/inverse-transform. When you use these, you can get your expression into a form that has an already derived transform/inverse-transform. When you perform these operations, they are just legitimate ways to manipulate your expression.
