for driving LED, what is sourc sinc?

Do you mean what's the difference between sourcing and sinking or something else??
 
you source current from the high side and sink current to the low side ... typically sinking current, or low side switching, is more efficient, since you can use N channel switches, n-bjt or n-fet. so, knowning this, most led gizmos have the anodes of the leds connected to the postive rail (most likely through a resistor) and then sink current with a low side switch.
