Flywheel Diode

What the good flywheel diode is place across soleniod valve 220VDC 2W?.
in my system, the flywheel diode is sometime short circuit. i don't know that
cause from anything because my used the same type for replace it but
is occur diode short circuit alway.

The 1N4007 [1Amp] diode should work OK at that voltage.

Or a 1N5404 or 5 or higher is a high current [3Amp] diode.
