flatron monitor turns on/off

Hi
I have an LG flatron W2253V with the following problem
When I power it on it turns on for some secs (2-3 secs) then goes black.
The PC starts normally. I push the power button again and the monitor turns on only for 2 - 3 secs. I can see the windows desktop for that time.
I tried to change the power board output caps but the problem still remains the same
any suggestions?
