Fixinc lcd on portable dvd player

I have a portable DVD player I found. When I turn it on there are vertical bands all over the screen. When I play video on it the bands move and change color as if the pixels were streched.The portable DVD player is a shinco sdp1731

The screen is faulty - or 'perhaps' a poor connection to it, or in it - but these connections are normally unrepairable.
