I'm currently designing an ac amp and I need to have a fixed voltage output. The input will be ranging from 1 - 10Vac and the output needs to be 50Vac and linear to the input signal. Any ideas?
You would need something like a standard audio power amplifier, with an AGC loop to control the output voltage. The AGC consists of a detector(rectifier) which compares the output with a reference voltage, and then controls the loop gain to keep the output constant. There are many specialist IC's out there.
