Engine Sounds effects Controller Design

Hello,
Just tossing this out here to see if it is possible and how to make it possible.

I see Tamiya RC truck company makes a MFU Multi Function Unit.

It controlls LED lights and Sounds of engines that are proportional to the RC remote stick to replicate engine sounds.

any idea's on how to?

Not the LED controls, Just the Engine sounds.
