I have a unique electronics project that I need some assistance with, are there any of you in an around London that would take on some sort of consultancy role with my project. The design is something being prepared for the royal family.

It surrounds computer hardware, PCB design, GPS, RF ID, Batteries amongst others.

Any help or recomendations would be much appriciated.

Thanks,

Rohan.

you're not going to install flashing, tri-color l.e.d.s amongst the Crown Jewels, are you? The Royal Family? If I were to assist you, would I then be knighted by the Queen herself in trade for my efforts?

HiTech, might be some white LEDs somewhere but not amongst the Crown Jewels though, doesn't really go and so 2005!! I doubt you'll be knighted by the Queen but I see if you'll be able to to get a by appointment logo if you're good!

Any serious takers?

Nope. I am in the States.. And if I was there I would not do it for a logo (yet I do not have one :( ), maybe a subscription to the Sun. :)

And I still like the blue LEDs myself?

The Queen know you are up to this? :)

What are you tring to do, as there are many talents on many areas here.

An interesting proposition "rohans" and I am intriuged as I suspect are a few other members of this forum. So far you have identified the client but not yourself, I fear that unless you remedy this discrepency you will recieve only humerous replies to this post.

Well if I have to reply to a Mad Professor to stop humerous replies, things can only get better!

This is only one of my clients, I cannot explain more on the project unless a confidentiality agreement is signed so anyone that is genuinely intersted in helping me on the project let me know so I can go into more details.

I've recently started a company that designs luxury goods and I have designed a few that incorporate technology within them.

I therefore need someone to work on the project with me, someone with skills in components such as GPS, RF ID, Motherboards, PCB building and software development along with an obsession for pefection.

Hope that answers your question. If you have anymore feel free to ask.

Best, Rohan.

If you have GPS, throw out the RFID. I guess you want to know if it left the starting location or moved around.

But again I am in the States, when you guys design it, can I have the exclusive right to the US ?? :) I will go sell it here. We have people like that as well.

I'm from liverpool....maybe alittle to far from london???

I have an interest in GPS and RFID but no experience.

I'm not very experienced but would be interested in helping you if I can.
I am unemployed so would be able to devote a large amount of time if required.

Regards Kris

Mr Amos, thanks I will keep you updated there is definatly a market in the US as I have already identified it.

The GPS is for one application and the RF ID is for authentication purposes so they are for different purposes.

Great. I have done some GPS work as well and dyna-sys.com is where my Grandfather worked, so RFID is not a problem. So if I can help electronically let me know. You know RFID is not very long range right?

I apologize for my suspicions (premature or not) but as already mentioned by one person here, you are asking for outside involvement with a project of little known purpose, of which is going to have a direct impact upon the Royal Family? I would think if they are a client of yours, you would be using resources closer to home; those that can be traced and easily contacted/approached if something were to fail or require further action(s). International business or R&D partners usually meet in person before embarking upon a venture.

HiTech, its not going to make a direct impact on the Royal Family its a luxury product! It just so happens I have high level contacts and they are intersted in owning one!

I have approached electronics organisations but they don't seem to have the qualities I want. I am not after outside involement, I am looking for someone who is passionate about electronics and luxury to work WITH me - I would want to meet so I can discuss the project in depth and work together to achieve the end result.

I cannot understand what the problem is with that?

Best.

Well now that you have explained yourself more clearly, I understand things better. Sounds like something intriguing, however I have many irons in the fire already occupying my time. I was just being nosy. Perhaps you need to locate a "start up" electronics company looking for good ideas to promote growth. Established companies usually have enough going for them so I can understand your poor luck with them. Good luck with your endeavor.

Wish I lived closer. I work for a wealthy family, with planes, boats, yacht, motor homes, buildings, etc.. I get to put all kind of custom things in them.

I and many others whom I have contacted would like the following:
Company name, Your name ,home address ,trading address (if differnet), web site (if any) , vat registration number, Letter of introduction from your bank manager, Daytime landline telephone number...
As soon as you provide the documentaion for inspection and they have been subsequently verified independantly, I can have my beautiful assistant begin the credit and CRB checks upon yourself.

You claim to be in business , stand up, quit hiding and have some pride in your company. Now how you manage your client list is your affair Rohan, however. If one of my minions divulged such sensitive information I would have them escorted from the grounds without delay and they would feel the full wieght of the small print in thier employment contract.

Anyhow , look forward to your reply, until then TTFN

I don't believe he stated that he was being employed by the 'Royal Family', nor exactly which family, or what relation. Personally, I wouldn't consider getting involved in something like this, lacks detail, requires a high level of trust. Those two points are also common to scam artists. The point of revealling that this product is intended for a "Royal Family", would give image of credibility, with know means of verifying it.

Maybe it's not a scam, and he just has an idea that could be of some value (use) to those that can afford spendy gadgets. I would think the Queen would have free access to all the cool stuff, like from the James Bond movies...

I'm from Bedford which is in a readnable commuting distance from London, but you'll have to pay me travel expenses and I'll also count time travelling as time on the job.

Mad Professor, I assume you are joking?

If not, why would I possibly give any personal information to a complete stranger? I'm not hiding in anyway, I'm simply enquiring to see if there are any electronic engineers willing to take on a paid consultancy role for a project. How is that possibly hiding?

My company information and details are something I will happily provide to the person that I end up working with but certainly not to an unknown person called the Mad Profressor in a public forum.

Wow, there is clearly some sort of misunderstanding here.

How can I be a scammer??? How can I possibly be scaming anyone or benefiting in ANYWAY possible by simply asking if there is someone interested in a PAID electronics job.

With regards to the Royals its not that much of a big deal, I have a contact who can introduce my product to them, they might not accept it, its my risk if they don't. Very simple and straight forward.

Hero999 thanks for the offer. This was an offer for a proper paid consultancy role, its really not that complicated and have no idea why its being analysed so much.

Its clear that I'm not going to find what I'm after here.

Thanks.

Didn't you request personal information from anyone interested in your first post?

How is the name of you company private? Don't you do business with the public?

The actual project... hardly enough information for anyone to decide if its within their field.

Compensation, no mention of payment for time or travel, salary or anything to do with business. Is this volunteer work for charity?

Sorry about this being such poor welcome to the forum to a new member, but your presentation doesn't do much to inspire trust in me. Too many things in this thread just done add up for me.
