Hi everybody,


I have a EV Cp4000S blown up for a wile now
I have managed to identify that one channel is completely blown all Power transistors were taken out and measured
And the part were I got stuck is the SMPS that is also blown

Any help in fixing this powerful amp is much appreciated!
Or if someone is fancy to fix it please let me know!
 
Could you make some clear pictures and load them up here?
If possible, top and bottom side of pcb.

Okay first of all clean the board (airblower or vacuum cleaner & some brush) and do some visual inspection on the board for any burnt components

After that you could check the green area, if thats a seperated PCB then take it out and do some measurements with a multimeter for some shortcircuit or/and check the fuse etc. there is also a relay but I don't think that it got blown up they are normally very though. If you're done I would check where the AC voltage goes after it leaves the green area (while power off!). Or is it just a switch? Whats underneath the black plastic in the middle?
 
Sorry for the picture...it was easier for me to upload that one(actually that one was from the day when i got the amplifier)
The amp was all cleaned before I started to do anything

The green area was all checked and seems to be fine, fuse NTC and relay are all fine

The black plastic cover is to keep the air flow to the power supply radiators

The read area is just some more filtering coils and caps and then goes to the power button.

The thing is I have started to check the amp side and I have discovered some power transistors dead and I have taken them off, thinking is just that blown up.
But later I have discovered that also the SMPS Mos-fet's are gone
With the amplifier side maybe I may have some chance to do it myself but with the power supply....
Unfortunately for me I have no experience with SMPS and this one is quite serious one and I don't want to destroy it completely

I was hoping to find somebody that wants to give it a try to fix it?

I have some spares already...

I don't know how many SMPS Mosfets exist but here is the datasheet and I would check them first with a multimeter (diode mode). You can order them on Aliexpress or similar companies. The question is which components did the mosfets burn with themselves. Ask the company for a schematic, while waiting you could check what is connected around the mosfets, most time they burn some resistors or caps with themselves.

You just need to solder, did you do it before? Do you have a solder iron? and a multimeter?

There are no "free repair" services. And this is an advanced device to repair, you try it yourself by some theoretical help (on your own risk) or you better leave it if you are not experienced.

I'm not expecting a free service
The mosfets are burned but the complexity of this amp is well over my knowledge

So all what I am trying is to find the right person to fix it... if not leave-it to rot in the loft
