Electric Fireworks Ignitor

If you want a low cost solution, take a standard stranded line cord and strip out a single strand of copper.

Wrap about 4 turns space wound around fuse of firework. Connect a full cord to single strand ends. A 12 v car battery will cause the single strand to glow and ignite most fuses.

They self destruct when they light the fuse, the nice thing is you probably have several miles of them in any given bundle of highly stranded copper wire. They're virtually free.
