Electret Mic

I am trying to build the following circuit:

I purchased the electret microphone at Radio Shack:

This mic has 3 leads; Red, White and Ground.

How do I hook up the 3 leads on this circuit since it only shows two connections to the mic?

The specs of the mic say that Red is V+, White is Output and Black is Ground...

Will this work with the schematic since it only shows two hook ups to the mic?

Mic Wires

Unless, I am wrong, some types of mics are passively powered (an output and a ground reference). ANd other mics are actively powered (an output, a ground reference, and a power)

Of course an electret mic needs a power supply for the jFET inside.
2-wire electret mics have the jFET as a common source amplifier.
3-wire electret mics have the jFET as a source-follower.
