EL driver IC?

I'm looking for the best choice for an electroluminescent panel driver for a backlight, about 12 sq in.

I found the TK65939M looks quite desirable, you can even control the intensity with PWM. However it isn't carried through any of the online resellers, I'd have to special order it through Toko's website.

Any other suggestions on a good driver?
