4pyros Well-Known Member Most Helpful Member Oct 4, 2011 #42 What supply did you make for him? Click to expand... 18v and 1300mA Click to expand... Why would you make a 18 volt supply for a 12 volt TV? Do you have a drawing for the supply you made?

Jackdaniel New Member Oct 4, 2011 #43 not true! A device draws current only as it needs, no matter if u gave ex.5 amperes for 1A, it only draws 1A From 5A, what a load of crap!

C carbonzit Well-Known Member Oct 4, 2011 #44 True, most devices (with some exceptions, notably LEDs) will only draw as much current as they need. They cannot be force-fed. But your supply is 18 volts. Didn't you tell us that the TV uses 12 volts?

Maybe the TV has other problems and thats why the 1st power supply went bad.
