Please I have a diode that has the following marking ' BK 1250 '

, can someone assist me on the detailed specs of this diode? Thank you
 
I actually had the chance to measure a similar one with good condition and the meter gives readings similar to an ordinary rectifying diode. After many researches I found some sites describing it as an 11 volts zener diode. Still no clear idea about what it truly is.
 
What type of circuit did the device come from?

Unless you have some sort of a copycat, the Insoltech information is spot on.

That device was originally manufactured by General Semiconductor(LOGO) which was bought by vishay.
