I am trying to figure out the diode on a rechargable battery pack for a wireless phone. It is on a 3.6V 6000mAh AAA batery pack. I am trying to make my own replacements and any help on the diode would be appreciated.
It is in-line with the neg lead on a 3 pin connector. neg side has 2 leads off it with one being with the diode.

Are you sure it isn't a Lion battery pack?

And that it isn't a diode but some sort of protection or temperature sensor?

Could be that the diode is used as a Δ temperature sensor.
