Hello,

Been thinking of other ways to use a 2N7000 for a pic input, and was wondering what you think of these. In a typical sense you would use the fet as a NOT gate, but then the output is inverted to the input. So, can you just connect the fets source pin right to the pic input?
Idea B has a resistor on both sides of the fet as something I thought of to increase the fets sensitivity to damage.

The circuits posted won't work anyway.

For a start they are both source followers so they are non-inverting.

The voltage on the PIC input will be equal to the input minus the threshold.

There is no pull-down resistor on the PIC input.
