Dealing with very old threads (2)

Hello,

Would it be possible to add to the site software a warning when the first post in a thread is older than 90 days?

The reason i ask is because many times a new user posts a reply to a thread that is very old and then the next person to check out that thread sees the current posting as "Today" so it looks like the thread is still of interest when really it isnt usually that relevant anymore.

A warning such as:

"Warning, the first post in this thread is older than 90 days"

or something similar would be very nice to see.

Hi MrAl,

I have been working on this the last few days and have just deployed a new mod that will solve the issue. The mod checks the thread's age and if more than 180 days old (without a reply), a warning is put below the reply box indicating that it is an old thread.
