If anyones interested heres a circuit I just knocked up, tired of not being able to see at my bench I've decided to build a better bench light.
My lab uses a 13.8v dc rail for various items, and I wanted to run some 26v 10w leds, this circuit uses a tl494 and a mosfet with a transformer pulled from a scrap philips telly, in fact all the parts except resistors and leds are salvaged, the transformer just has 1 winding in use which is original I didnt rewind it.
The circuit steps up from 12v to either 46v or 82v depending whether you connect 20 or 3 leds to it, the pot I adjust is a constant current control from 10ma to 350ma.
At the end the camera doesnt like the brightness.
