J john1 Active Member Jul 12, 2003 #3 Hi Aram, Another very common method which has been around for many years is to control the field strength. This may be more suitable for larger motors, and its fairly simple. If you want speed regulation, you will need some sort of pick-up or sensing device, such circuits can get a bit involved.
