DAB radio

Hi all this might bee in the wrong category (but anyways)

Im looking to make a DAb radio and are not able to get the decoder from any supplyer or producer.
So my question is:
Does anyeone know of a projcet where there have been buildt a DAB radio form scratch? with a uC and software or just with logic components (yes i know that DAB uses a decoder and deplexer)
 
I tried to get hold of DAB modules a while ago - I was after 100 for a project but nobody was interested.

Be careful there are different standards for DAB - a UK DAB radio might not work where you live.
 
From what i have read about DAB it depends on where the DAB is transmittede (read which frequency). But mostly Europe is placed in the same region ;)
 
I haven't found anything that will be relatively easy. DAB, like many other recently developed wireless protocols, is relatively complex and doesn't lend itself to a one-man development from scatch. Here are some links that may provide clues to further leads...
