current flow question..

In an ideal circuit, at t=0 a capacitor will appear as a short circuit so all current will flow into it. At any time greater than zero (or when the capacitor has accumulated charge) current will flow through the resistor as well. Once the capacitor has charged completely, it will appear as an open circuit and the current will only flow through the resistor.
