could you help me please

i would like to build an electric lock. i found a simple electric lock circiut.This circuit just turns on an LED for about one second when the correct switches are pressed. i would like a solenoid to be activated from this to open a model door. (small door) for my school project. any ideas. circuits daigrams would be good
