Hello all,

For energy calibration in my Energy meter project,
I plan to do this.....

I will have optical fibres connected to the CF output of
i) Standard energy meter ii) energy meter under test.
The two mwters will be connected to the same load.

[ CF output : Calibration frequency, An LED is provided for energy meter
which will blink with a frequency proportional to the Energy]

So i will be getting optical signals.
I have to convert them to pulses.

I have planned to design a micro-controller based design,
which will act as pulse counter. I have a timer which will run for a specified
interval of time. After that time is elapsed,
I will observe the pulses recorded.
Based on m,y observation i will calibrate the offset in MY energ meter.

So, i ...............
Need a circuit which will convert optical signals to pulses.
Please help me out.
Also tell me if there are any products readily available in market.

Thanking you
Venkatesh T.K

The circuit is quite simple:
