1. Some understanding of electronics, beginner level I'd say.

2. Only programming language I know is qbasic / basic/ qb64 etc, um yeah lol.

3. Decent understanding of mechanical systems, not much with can bus etc.

Fueling calculations such as what the megasquirt does, are almost useless with a diesel.
With a diesel, you just push as much fuel as you want, and if you exceed the fuel / air ratio, you either dcrease the fuel or add a bigger turbo
