Controlling a Servo Motor

The servo probably draws 100mA to 200mA when it is moving back and forth at full speed without a load.

thanks audioguru, much appreciated, and thanks to everyone else for all your help, before i started this thread i had no idea how a servo worked, i thought that you just applied power and the servo rotated, boy was i wrong, now, thanks to all of you guys, i can now create this circuit with my eyes closed.
