COM ports.

Hey I kind of forgot this. In windoes 98, Is it com 1 or com 2 that is mostly used for the PIC-PG2C programmer cause I tried to set my ICPROG software in com2 and it didn't work and other coms were not available(you couldn't select them).
 
Perhaps other COM port are being used by other peripheral or program.
Most of the moden computer has only 2 COM ports.

check ur BIOS....dont forget to enable them if u havent.... :)
plus...if u could....unplug all other COM devices.....before u fire up ur burner again...that might help...
 
com ports..

Most computers has a total of 4 com ports..

2 physically

and 2 virtually..

often used by internal pci modems..

In bios you should enable them to be able to use them in windows..

you olso could take a look in the device manager

there are all the devices placed and there you can see..

wich one are available..

(then you can also know if icprog makes the list os just came up whit the list available..)
