colour sensor project

I need to do this project (colour sensor) ,which can sense eight colours included primary,secondary,black and white colors.
The most important thing is to build the convex lenses,filters,LDRs....so could anyone advise me or adding some comments about that.

Well, buy the lenses surplus or pull them out of old equipment - printers, scanners, microscopes, or just use small magnifying lenses - fresnel ones should work nicely.
The filters you can get ether at a scientific supply store, or better yet a theatric or photographer supply store - they tend to have a large selection of color "gel" filters.
The LDR's you buy - they usually are called Cadium-Sulfide cells - CdS cells.

and do it in software.
