colour coding of resistors

Probabally proprietary to the OEM?
Very odd exam question, why would it matter in the real world?
Max.

which material is used to colour code the resistances?
That's really funny. The good ones use some kind of solvent resistant paint, now probably urethane based. One time my old buddy who went to swap meets bought a bunch of resistors and we used them to build up demo boards. Then when we used the flux cleaner on the boards, every bit of the paint just washed away leaving naked resistors. Hilarious.....
