Dear Sirs, I was wondering if anyone can assist me. I have a Siglent 1202X-E which I'm leaning to use via an Arduino kit. I've come across a situation that I'd like to try and use the scope with.

Recently my PC has been having difficulty remembering hardware settings. With the help of tech support, I have replaced the Cmos battery. The battery is reading 2.97 volts using a dvm. Is it possible to connect it to a scope to monitor it's drain using a simple circuit? TIA

Not really. I just thought I could build a circuit that would put enough drain to simulate a constant use. Am still not sure the battery was the fault as it would run weeks before a problem would pop up. Right now I have it hooked up to a red led in series with a 10k resistor showing 2.975v. just looking for something to do actually!;)

That will drain the battery in short order.
