Fed up of trying to read some papers online using IE (loading - and frequently reloading again and again, which seemed to take hours), I changed to Firefox.

In two PC's with different IP's, the change was more than satisfactory. The task manager showed less use of RAM and the CPU not so busy as with IE.

In the chat room, Eric wisely advised to use ABP (ads block). Besides installing quite quickly, it works very well.

Gracias Eric!

Try Google Chrome. Firefox only just recently tried to match what Google is doing with it's browser. The current version of Firefox is comparable to the current version of Chrome. Chrome did it first though.

Opera and Chrome already...

Hola scead,

I tried already Opera and Chrome.

That one was too much in my way asking for plugins thus blocking even the simplest navigation of frequented sites as this one. It worked fast.

Chrome, found it fast but non-intuitive and requiring too many clicks. It also asked too often for plug ins and blocked my browsing.

Came back to IE because it is the only one of all I know that never told me it was unable to process this or that.

Problem was in complex sites as news papers (like this).

The task manager showed RAM and CPU used in full. It was so blocked that closing was a nightmare in itself.

For the moment FF is doing well.

BTW, how is the baby doing?

I'm not sure what problems you ran into atferrari, Opera might have issues with that as it's not as fully developed a browser, but Chrome has no issues I've ever encountered with page compatibility. Depends on when you last tried to use it as well, the main browsers have switched to a rapid release update system in the last year to keep up with the way HTML5 is changing things. Firefox's entire code base has basically be re-written in the last 8 months to keep up with how fast Google Chrome was when it first came out (it's page render times were virtually instantaneous) all in all though the competition is good, I would like to see IE go away though, and Opera gain a little more than the 1% market share it has right now.

Baby's doing fine by the way, thanks for asking. Gaining weight just fine and healthy as can be! I'm a please poppa!
