My goal is to make a CMOS 1 - 24 counter with reset (24 outputs). Can I do this by cascading multiple 4017 ICs? If not, how? CMOS

hi,
This is the datasheet method, note you will not get 10 counts from each 4017.

Here's a circuit counting to 32.

To decrease the number of outputs just omit the right hand outputs and connect the last count output +1 to the MR pin (15) of the first stage.

The AND-gates used are CD4081.
