C colin55 Well-Known Member May 10, 2012 #2 If the capacitors are the same size the ripple current will be the same and you can substitute the 680u for 1,000u.

B btsutton New Member May 11, 2012 #3 Check the ESR In general, the ESR of the new CAP should be the same or less. However, it may not even matter for your particular TV circuit.
