I think there is more info on the chip if you have. like the logo of manufacturer. and few more details. If a problem, at least you can describe the circuit element where this is used and for purpose? What is the original equipment name, make and model where you found this chip?
If you found this chip alone, atleast put a photo of the same.
The logo looks like a f this chip is one I use for a project years ago. For the life of me I cant remember what it is...maybe a darlington?
The chip also has a white stripe across the top from pin one to sixteen.
numbers are P9848AH and below that is CD4017BCN.
