Hi everyone

I want make Traffic lights project . by use those elements : -

the element : -
1# 555 timer
1# 74160 counter
1#7432 or
1# 7404 not
1# 7408 and
12# leds
2# resistonce 240 k ohm , 940 k ohm
2# capctor 10 * 10-6 F . 0.01*10-6 F

first :- I want graph the circuit for it and explain how connect element each other .
second : - I do not want use 555 timer , can you exchange by plus generator ? explain ?

read the bellow post, some circuit using counter 4017 and basic gates...you may t hink of substituting an existing counter, some idea of explanation also there, it will be easy as discussed on the post to use a PIC & programe.
