Can we avoid isolation property of transformer by simply having a common ground?

I mean to say by simply having a common ground for both primary and secondary can i avoid isolation property of transformer?

You will still have the energy isolation of the transformer. This is useful for breaking up a ground-loop or defining a new neutral/ground point for the secondary power circuit.
