Can I swicth a U1 555 timer with a TLC 555 timer?

I have a schematic for a timer circuit I have everything I need
exept a U1 555 timer but I do have a TLC 555 timer can I switch
the U1 555 timer for the TLC 555 timer?

The timing will be the same, but the output source/sink is reduced.

Please post the circuit.?

That's a link to a file on your hard drive, which we can't see. You need to either:

1. Use the "Go Advanced" button, then click "Manage Attachments" in the message editor to attach the picture (as a clickable thumbnail) to your post, or

2. Create an album ("My Account"--> "My Albums"), upload the picture to an album from your hard drive, then paste a link to the picture (on this site, not your hard drive) into your post.

Whats the output pin#3 going to drive.?
 
On your schematic, U1 is the '555' it's not a special kind. See you have R1, R2 and R3? Which are all resistors. If there were more than one 'chip' they would be named U2, U3 etc. .
 
Has anybody seen a 3V/1k ohm relay coil that uses only 3mA?? It might use 30mA.

With a 5V supply, a TLC555 typically sinks 20mA with a voltage loss of 1.2V.

They are available in 3v and 5v versions with high resistance coils.

The TLC555 will work OK at 3V, to suit your relay.
Be sure to add a diode across the relay coil to protect the 555 from the relays back EMF, do you know how to do that.?

In addition, you should remember that a TLC555 is a CMOS device and can be destroyed with stray static. I have killed a few myself by accidentaly touching them while not protected. A more robust 555 timer would be better.
