If you can manage with fixed point maths then BoostC is fine. If you want to use floating point then I suggest you switch to an 18 series chip and use the free C18 compiler from Microchip.
I did my code in flowcode and when i try to run it MPLAB it gives an error:
Can't find system.h
So i did some reading and think i need this BoostC C compiker to download...The link provided just give you the download link for the boostsource IDE not the compiler...where could i get the boostC C compiler to download for free...can't seem to find it anywhere...
I have a compiler that installed with flowcode named PPPv3 but it does not have the PIC18F452 to select from the chip select drop down menu list...Does anyone know if i could download a pack or something to add chips compatible with PPPv3...or is boostC C compiler compatible with PIC18F452 to compile my code from flowcode and program my chip?
Just download and install the whole thing and it will integrate with MPLAB. I have the IDE on my PC but have never used it, I just use BoostC in MPLAB.
Edit, I would download (the more stable) version 6.92.
