Hi,

I'm interested in building the geiger counter attached below. However, their are two areas on the circuit diagram that I do not under stand. Can anyone explain what the area in the red and blue squares are for?

Many thanks

hi,
The Red is the Geiger Tube, the Blue power decoupling 330uF 25Vwkg capacitor.

Blue one's easy: it's just an electrolytic filter/decoupling capacitor (330µF/25V, between the +9 volts and ground).

The red rectangle is apparently the Geiger detector. I have no idea what these are or how they work.
