Hello I have looked on the internet for a 12vdc to 24vdc 2 amp power supply design. I would like to use a 12v battery to run this. Can anyone help me with this?

How simple or complicated do you want to get?

Any size or efficiency requirements as well?

2 amps at 24 volts is 48 watts. Thats a lot of LED's!

Why 24 volt for LED power?

The Typical Application Circuit of the Lm3478 uses a Vin of 3.3V to get a Vout of 5V, 2A. Would I have to change any of the componites to use a Vin of 12V to get a Vout of 24V, 2A? I am new to this and not sure about it.

I am using a Blink M MaxM and trying to get it a bright as possible

BlinkM MaxM Features
All the Smart LED features of BlinkM, with
additional features of:
Three high-power 5-24VDC @ 2A PWM outputs to
drive large common-anode LED arrays
Included 445,000 mcd RGB LED cluster
Four 8-bit analog inputs
New light script commands to act on inputs for
stand-alone dynamics
Built-in 5V voltage regulator and DC adapter
connector for stand-alone operation
