hey i gotta 50mw bluray laser, would it be smart to increase the current if i pulsed it, to get it to burn things faster, with out burning out faster?

No. It's the average power, not the peak power that provides the burning.

NOTE: The reflections can also readily burn your eyes.

bluray laser? You mean blue laser? Bluray lasers actually emit violet light (go figure)

You can not increase it's ability to burn anything without it immediately failing, not even small pulses are tolerated, it will fail before it can produce more power than it normally does, in order to lase at all they're typically run right near the materials failure point.
